ABOUT
Kitchen Table Historians was established by me, Dr. Jeska Rees, a historian with a passion for understanding 'the ordinary' parts of life - what people talk about when they sit at the kitchen table. I love learning about the work, the play, and the environments that were routine for previous generations.

My PhD in History was awarded by the University of Western Australia in 2007. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of London in 2009 and have published articles in my doctoral research on the women's movement of the 1970s.
I am a member of both the Association of Professional Historians of Victoria and Tasmania and the Royal Historical Society of Victoria.

I have previously lectured and taught at universities as a historian, and have worked as a project manager in non-government organisations.
I am currently completing a Masters in Archaeology at La Trobe University.

My personal interests include vegetable gardening, throwing parties and reading fiction.
